🔒 Protected Terms

These terms are a legally binding agreement.

By booking any service with Laundly, you agree to the terms below. These protect both you as our customer and us as your service provider. If any part is unclear, please contact us before booking.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the laundry pickup and delivery services provided by Laundly Limited (Company #9427980), a New Zealand registered company operating as “Laundly” (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By placing a booking through our website, mobile app, phone, WhatsApp, or any other method, you (“the Customer”, “you”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

1Booking & service agreement

By booking a service with Laundly, you enter into a service agreement with us on the terms set out below.

2Pricing & payment

Our pricing is transparent and confirmed at weigh-in. You only pay after we have collected and weighed your laundry.

4Prohibited items

For the health and safety of our staff, equipment, and other customers’ items, we do not accept any laundry containing or contaminated with the following.

Items we will not accept
  • Blood or bodily fluids
  • Urine, faecal matter, or vomit
  • Oil, grease, or petroleum products
  • Bugs, insects, or infestations of any kind (including bed bugs, lice, fleas)
  • Chemicals of any kind (paint, solvents, cleaning agents, etc.)
  • Hazardous fluids or substances of any kind
  • Mould-infested or heavily mildewed items
  • Wet or damp items that have started to smell (contamination risk)
  • Items requiring biohazard disposal

If contaminated items are discovered during processing, we reserve the right to return them unwashed, dispose of them, or charge additional decontamination fees, at our discretion.

Other items we do not accept

If you’re unsure whether an item is suitable, please contact us BEFORE booking. Once collected, prohibited items may be returned unwashed and any fees for wasted collection may apply.

5Washing & drying standards

Our standard washing process is designed to be safe and effective for the vast majority of everyday household laundry. It is applied uniformly to all bookings unless you request otherwise before pickup.

6Liability & damage disclaimer

Please read this section carefully. It sets out the important limits of our liability for garment damage, staining, and loss.

Where Laundly is found to be liable for loss or damage to your items despite the above disclaimers, our total liability for any single booking is limited to the lesser of:

We are not liable for consequential losses including but not limited to: lost income, disappointment, missed events, replacement rental costs, or emotional distress caused by damage or delay.

Recommendation

For high-value items (over NZ$200 individual replacement cost), please arrange separate valuables insurance or consider using a specialist dry cleaner. Laundly’s service is designed for everyday household laundry.
